Launching the ENGAGE Component within the second Round of the NGO Fund

Regarding the Call for Proposals - Round 2, Component 1, ENGAE the potential Applicants who have downloaded the documents related to this Component before August 08, 2014, are kindly requested to consider the following correction that occured in the Annex 3 - The Applicant declration:

  • The mistaken reference in the third paragraph of the document regarding the in Section 3.2.1 Eligible partners from the Applicants' Guidelines was replaced by the reference to section 3.2 The eligibility of partners from the Applicants' Guidelines.

All the other documents remain unchanged

Civil Society Development Foundation is publishing the Guidelines and specific annexes for ENGAGE Component, within the second Round of the NGO Fund, part of the EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

The general objective of ENGAGE Component is to encourage active citizenship and participation in community life, to ensure the respect and practice of fundamental democratic values.

The Component has 3 Sub-components:

Sub-Component 1.1 – Participation in decision-making and community engagement

The specific objective of this Sub-Component is to support NGO initiatives that increase citizens’ engagement in the community and in decision making processes and that improve communities and public policies through active citizenship.

Sub-Component 1.2 – Volunteer

The specific objective of this Sub-Component is to encourage initiatives that make a valuable contribution in the community be providing opportunities for all ages and social groups to engage in volunteering activities.

Sub-Component 1.3 – Encouraging democratic values

The specific objective of this Sub-Component is to support initiatives that contribute to promoting and respecting fundamental democratic values and human rights.

 

The total allocation for this Component under the first round of Call for proposals is 2,400,000 Euro.

 

Grants are dedicated to NGOs. More information about eligibility conditions for the applicant and partners can be found in the Guidelines for applicants. Guidelines and annexes are available only in Romanian language.

An applicant organisation may submit a maximum number of 2 project proposals under the second round, out of which only 1 proposal for Large grants. Organisations that contracted and/or are in the precontracting phase with 2 or more projects under the first round (cumulative on all Components) may submit maximum 1 project proposal under the second round.

Deadline for submitting applications is 6th of October, 2014, 04:00 PM.
